The Hynish Centre

The Hynish Centre, on the Isle of Tiree, in the Inner Hebrides, is let as a group accommodation centre to parties of all ages. It can be booked for a variety of purposes, including holidays, business training, educational courses, or cultural and recreational use

The Centre has two accommodation blocks, Alan Stevenson House and Morton Boyd House, and can accommodate 32 people in total.

Alan Stevenson House has recently undergone a programme of refurbishment and access improvements. Double, single and en-suite rooms are now available. This house is designed for larger groups, providing accommodation for up to 21 people comprising of:

  • Three bedrooms that sleep up to four people (one en-suite)
  • Three bedrooms that sleep up to two people (two with en-suite shower)
  • One bedroom that sleeps up to two people (en-suite accessible shower room)
  • One single bedroom
  • Private bath/shower rooms
  • Fully equipped dining and kitchen area
  • Large sitting room with solid-fuel stove

Award

The renovation of the Old Stables as Morton Boyd House received an Architectural Award from Argyll and Bute Council

'Category A' listed lighthouse establishment built for the construction and servicing of the Skerryvore lighthouse.
